Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are all chasing Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, according to Calciomercato.
The forward scored 17 goals and registered 10 assists from 45 games last season, and that includes a hattrick in his side’s 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final.
His performances for the Serie A side have reportedly seen top clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United take notice.
La Dea will have to sell the 26-year-old if there’s an ‘irrefutable’ offer. Lookman has two years left on his deal and Transfermarkt currently value him at €40m. However, the report says the Italian club, led by their president Antonio Percassi, have set a €60 asking price.
When discussing his suitors, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are mentioned. It’s claimed the Premier League trio are all ‘willing to make an offer’ close to €60m to secure the Nigeria international’s services.
This feels like a wild claim because it’s highly unlikely any of Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester United would spend close to €60m on the Atalanta player. Calciomercato may be trying to create hype around Lookman, perhaps to put pressure on other interested parties.
