Federico Bernardeschi is no longer a regular in Juventus’ starting lineup and Calciomercato claims Maurizio Sarri is increasingly in favour of using Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuaín and Paulo Dybala as his first choice attackers.
Sarri was critical of the Italy international after his side’s league win over Udinese on Sunday. When talking about the 25-year-old’s future, the website adds he could be made available in the market.
It’s claimed Liverpool are ‘watching’ the player and for the first time, the Serie A winners could consider allowing him leave, if they receive an ‘important offer’.
Calciomercato only state the Reds are ‘watching’ Bernardeschi and provide no further information or indication whether Jürgen Klopp’s side are expected to make an offer for him.
It’s also to be noted the report doesn’t specify any figures that are needed to convince Juventus to sanction the player’s sale.
Given Takumi Minamino is on the verge of completing a move to Liverpool, this one may be less likely.
