Real Betis defender Marc Bartra has insisted he and his teammates are ready to sign up to Isco’s plan to crowdfund the signing of Antony from Manchester United.

Marca have an interview with the defender today in which he insists he’s ready to sign up to such a scheme to get the Brazilian permanently.

Antony has been revived at Betis since joining on loan from Manchester United in the January transfer window, with four goals and four assists in 12 games for the Spanish club so far.

He’s quite literally been a revelation and their star man since day one, although he hasn’t scored or assisted in four league games after initially shining early on.

Both Antony and Betis have made it clear publicly that they’d love to make the loan deal a permanent one, but there is no provision in the loan deal with Manchester United to make that happen.

The big problem on that front will be Manchester United’s asking price, with them determined to recoup as much of the €95m they paid to sign Antony from Ajax in August 2022.

Real Betis star Isco recently joked that they need to start a crowdfunding campaign to make the deal happen and Bartra has admitted he and his teammates are ready to sign up to that.

“Crowdfunding to sign Antony? My teammates are willing… Whatever’s good for Betis… let’s go,” he said when asked about the idea.
