Brighton & Hove Albion should still have a shot at signing Lazar Samardzic from Udinese, according to reports from the Italian media.
Newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport today has a story explaining that time is running out for the midfielder’s exit, as there are increasingly fewer days until the end of the transfer window and Serie A clubs don’t seem like moving for his transfer anymore.
Still, Brighton show up as an option in the Premier League, with the outlet claiming the Seagulls have asked for information on his situation at Udinese.
It’s just made clear that the English club would need to move fast, as there’s ‘less and less time’ and the Italian club would only sell him for an ‘indispensable offer’.
The time constraint will perhaps also relate to Udinese needing to bring in a replacement.
The would be of €25m. Then Brighton would also need the approval from Samardzic himself, with Gazzetta making it very clear that he wants a ‘great team’ and ‘will not accept just any destination’. So there’s less than a couple of weeks for the Seagulls to decide about that investment and bring arguments for all the parties involved.
