Over the course of the January transfer window, Nottingham Forest were interested in signing Inter’s Roberto Gagliardini.
They never managed it, however, and the Italian remained with the Serie A side, where he is now being courted by Leicester City.
That’s according to FC Inter News in Italy, who claim there are two sides have ‘enquired’ about Gagliardini, with one of those being the Foxes and the other Galatasaray.
With a contract expiring in the summer and no renewal on the horizon, the new Leicester target is in his ‘last three months’ at the club, as he continues to be given sporadic minutes here and there by Simone Inzaghi.
However, from July 1st, he will be a free agent, and while there ‘still no new defined destination’ for him at this moment in time, he ‘awaits offers in line with his expectations’.
The belief is that his career will continue abroad, where Leicester and Galatasaray have ‘tested the waters’ with his agent, Beppe Riso, and both could ‘concretely come forward’ in the near future.
Something to keep an eye on surrounding the future of Gagliardini, who has made 17 appearances in all competitions for Inter this season.
