Leicester City will focus on reshaping their squad in the summer to help them seal a quick return to the top flight. They were relegated from the Premier League after finishing in the 18th spot, two points behind 17th placed Everton.
The Foxes have identified Darío Osorio as the target and recent claims have stated they have sent a $7m offer to Universidad de Chile.
TNT Sports in Chile looks at these claims and then explain why the 19-year-old’s signing for Leicester is ‘complicated’.
The South American club are aware the midfielder can help them raise important funds after he aroused interest from several European clubs. Leicester are the most recent club to make an approach and have shown their intention to make an offer.
There’s been talk of a $7m bid from the English club for several days. This seemed like it could materialise soon, but hasn’t happened so far. It’s claimed Leicester ‘still didn’t make the formal proposal’ that is ‘still expected’ at Universidad de Chile.
Leicester continue to remain a priority for the Chilean club when negotiating Osorio’s sale but that could change if they don’t make a formal proposal ‘this week’.
Universidad de Chile are still expecting a bid from the Foxes and if the latter fail to do so this week, Osorio’s employer will start listening to offers from other clubs.
