Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey has a contract expiring in June and has attracted attention from several clubs.
The 28-year-old has mainly been used as a centre-back this season but can also operate as a defensive midfielder. His versatility has pleased Beşiktaş manager Şenol Güneş as he’s keen to have him at the Turkish club.
That’s according to Haber 7, who state the Black Eagles have ‘made an official offer’ for the Leicester player to join them for free in the summer. They have proposed to him a deal worth €2.5m, likely net, per season.
With just over a month left on his contract, the Ghana international is expected to leave the King Power Stadium as a free agent.
Apart from Beşiktaş, the Leicester player has received offers from other Premier League sides. The report doesn’t provide any details of these clubs.
Having already made an official offer, Beşiktaş are now ‘waiting’ for Amartey to respond to their proposal. If he were to snub them, they would move on to other targets. It’s claimed he will make the decision on his future at the end of this season.
