Bologna have identified Leicester City fullback Victor Kristiansen as a target to bolster their defence.
Il Resto del Carlino, relayed by 1000 Cuori Rossoblu, say the ‘most emergency’ for the Serie A side is to bring in a new left-back.
This is the position they have been trying to strengthen since the start of the window and the focus is now on the Leicester player.
Thiago Motta has used Tommaso Corazza and Charalampos Lykogiannis as left-backs in the Coppa Italia and Joaquín Sosa in the pre-season. Despite this, the report states it’s difficult to see the trio being used there regularly this season.
Il Resto del Carlino and Gianluca Di Marzio both state Bologna are focused on signing the Foxes fullback as he’s currently the ‘hottest’ candidate for them.
The Denmark international joined Leicester from FC Copenhagen last summer and signed a deal until 2028. Bologna cannot afford to buy him since the cost of the transfer would be high for them.
Therefore, the Italian club could sign Kristiansen on an ‘expensive loan deal’ with right to buy.
However, there’s no mention if Leicester or the Dane would be open to this option.
