Leicester City are still in the picture for Atalanta’s Jeremie Boga after failing to sign him in the summer.
Calciomercato have a report focusing on players from the Serie A side who are ‘on pole’ to change clubs in January.
The Ivory Coast international’s name is on the list and it’s said he is being courted by a few clubs, including Leicester.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side signed the winger initially on loan from Sassuolo at the start of this year and made his stay permanent in the summer. He’s been restricted to four substitute appearances this season.
Another report from Calciomercato states 57 minutes of action this season is ‘too little’ for Boga if it’s taken into account the Italian club paid €22m to buy him.
Towards the end of the last window, there was a firm possibility for the ex-Chelsea man to join Leicester, who followed him for several months. The Foxes ‘made a concrete attempt’, but Atalanta were unwilling to part ways with the player.
Atalanta’s position on Boga has changed and they are now willing to let him leave in the winter market. However, they will only consider a loan transfer, given the difficulty to recover the investment they’ve made.
Leicester are in the mix and Atalanta’s latest position could encourage Brendan Rodgers’ side, if they are keen to secure Boga’s services in January.
