On Wednesday, we covered a report from Japan which claimed Leicester City are interested in Portimonense winger Shoya Nakajima.
The story said the Foxes would be preparing to offer €20m for the player in the January window, even though they would have big competition for him.
Some Portuguese outlets have articles covering the news today, and Record is the only who doesn’t credit the Japanese media.
They also report a possible €20m bid from the Foxes ‘in January or at the end of the season’, saying the club now joins a long list of interested sides. It’s claimed that competitors from Russia, Ukraine, Germany and Spain are in the race as well.
Record writes that Leicester City already have Shinji Okazaki in the squad, and have been ‘betting on the strong revenue raising in the Japanese market’.
As we’ve already said, Record doesn’t credit the Japanese press, but doesn’t claim it as an exclusive either. So there’s a chance they’re just keeping the rumour alive for now.
