Leicester City’s effort to sign Walace Silva looks to be pretty much over. The Brazilian is set to fly in for a medical with Hamburg, and complete a move to the German club, report Bild.
At the weekend the German newspaper had explained Hamburg were tussling with Leicester City for the player, and Bild believed the fee could go as high as €15m.
In December, a source close to a possible Walace transfer confirmed to Sport Witness that it was more than just a rumour, and some kind of talks were ongoing over a potential move to Leicester City.
At the time the Brazilian media priced a move at €10m, but Sport Witness were informed a fee of €8m to €9m would be acceptable. On that note, Bild, a day after claiming a fee as high as €15m, now say the actual price is €9m.
It now looks certain that Leicester City have lost out on the versatile 21 year old midfielder.
