Leicester City star Wout Faes ‘should remain’ at the club despite their relegation to the Championship, but his Belgian teammates Dennis Praet and Timothy Castagne are still trying to leave.
That’s according to Walfoot, who say the latter pair are ‘still looking for a way out’ of the club but Faes is now likely to remain where he is.
Leicester have had a busy summer so far following relegation from the Premier League last season, with James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Youri Tielemans and Caglar Söyüncü among the high-profile names to have gone.
The likelihood of more departures before the end of the window is high, with some players keen to move on and The Foxes looking to restructure and get back to the to flight.
Faes is one of the bigger remaining names but Walfoot report that ‘it seems clear’ he will remain where he is this summer.
He is ‘far from being cheap’ despite relegation and has started the season as a key player under Enzo Maresca so ‘should remain’ at the club. What that means for his international future remains to be seen.
The same cannot be said for Praet and Castagne, though, as they are ‘still looking for a way out’ and hopeful of finding it before the end of the window.
Indeed, the latter is now being linked with a Fulham by reports in England, suggesting he may get his wish sooner rather than later.
Either way, it appears the end of the summer window will be a busy period for Leicester, who still have issues to deal with, even if Faes is not one of them.
