The Portuguese press brings this Thursday one more update on Sporting’s chase for Adrien Silva from Leicester City.
Besides taking Rafael Camacho from Liverpool on a six-month loan deal, the Lions are pretty focused on bringing their old captain back as well.
Thing is that they keep waiting for Leicester’s response. Newspaper Record reports that Sporting want the Foxes to keep paying for half of the player’s salary, and haven’t heard about a decision yet.
The Lisbon side are said to be aware of the competition for the player, and that’s why they will be patient until the end of the month to see what Leicester’s decision will be.
Record writes that Adrien wants to play more regularly, and a move back to his old club would be the best choice to ‘relaunch’ his career.
Signed by the Foxes on a €24.5m deal in 2017, Adrien was only eligible to play for the club from January 2018. In this year at Leicester, he’s made only 21 appearances, five of them in the current season.
