The talks between Leicester City and Torino for the transfer of Dennis Praet have been ‘officially restarted’, according to claims from the Italian media.
Torino Granata today brings the news from newspaper La Stampa which says the clubs have resumed talks for the midfielder’s new move to Serie A.
Last summer, following a one-year loan spell Praet had at Torino, the Italian club had already made an attempt to keep him. Despite the €15m buying option they had, they still tried to get the permanent signing for €8.5m.
Leicester City turned the offer down at the time, but it’s now claimed the Foxes ‘would not refuse’ that same amount now.
The big reason for it is that Praet hasn’t been of big use for Brendan Rodgers, as the player only made ten appearances for the club this season.
It’s claimed that even less than €8m could be enough to buy him from Leicester City, especially because the 28-year-old ‘already asked the club’ for the transfer. Turin manager Ivan Juric has a big interest in bringing the midfielder back to the squad, and it seems there are big chances of succeeding this time.
