Leicester City are planning a new attempt for the signing of Jeremie Boga, according to reports from Italy.
Newspaper Tuttosport (via Fiorentina.it) writes that after the failed bid for the player in the summer, the Foxes are ready for a second shot.
Boga is said to be one of the ‘several players’ who could leave Atalanta in the January window. Among the interested sides, there’s Fiorentina and English clubs.
Leicester City are obviously part of that Premier League list, as they had an agreement to sign him on a dry €5m loan, and the move was turned down by the player himself.
Tuttosport claim there’s an opening both from Atalanta, who are set to ‘evaluate everything’ in the next transfer window, as from the player, since the ‘scenarios have changed’.
It’s said Leicester City are ‘determined’ to try again, even though it’s not yet clear whether they’d make a similar offer. The report claims ‘the formulas can be debated’, so the Foxes might try to put something different on the table.
A reason for Boga to reconsider his summer decision is that he’s getting little playing time at Atalanta this season, with only 74 minutes played in six appearances.
