Last week saw the Dutch media link Leeds United with a swoop for Nicolás Tagliafico.
The Ajax defender has a contract lasting until June 2023, and has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the club, with Premier League clubs thought to be interested.
So far this season, the 28-year-old has played 36 matches for Ajax, all of them at left-back. He’s scored one goal and managed three assists across that time, so his statistics on the attacking side aren’t hugely impressive.
As well as being linked with a move to England, the Argentine has also been the subject of claims of interest from La Liga and Serie A. For the latter, it’s Inter Milan who have been linked the most, although it’s never really felt like the club were on the verge of making a serious effort to sign the player.
Calciomercato now back up Leeds interest, giving a mention to the previous courtship from Inter. The Italian website states Leeds ‘have set their sights’ on signing Tagliafico in the summer market, backing up the Dutch claims.
