Leeds United overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 in the Premier League at Molineux on Friday.

The Whites were forced to leave Raphinha out of their squad to face Wolves after the Brazil international tested positive for Covid.

Seleção host Chile before making a trip to face Bolivia in the World Cup qualifiers later this month. Tite had included the Leeds winger in his squad, but the latest development is set to force the Brazil manager to leave the 25-year-old out for the upcoming fixtures.

That’s according to Globo Esporte, who add the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) are monitoring the case and will ‘await further examination of the player’.

In recent cases, if a Brazilian player has tested positive for Covid, the CBF have followed a  protocol, which is to isolate for at least a week, and as long as ten days.

If Raphinha’s absence for Brazil’s clash against Chile and Bolivia is confirmed, the report states Tite should announce a replacement for the Leeds attacker on Saturday.
