According to claim in the Italian media, Leeds United forward Marcus Antonsson is on the verge of joining Brescia.
The 27 year old has been linked with the Serie B side in recent weeks, and a possible reunion with former Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino.
Gazzetta dell Sport today report Antonsson will arrive at Brescia and the Italian newspaper present this as a real thing, having previously reported it was close. There’s no doubt in the claim, and it seems as far as Gazzetta are concerned this one is happening.
Cellino is looking to bring in reinforcements this summer as he aims to get the Lombardy club back into Serie A. The Italian club have been linked with several players this summer, and the Leeds United player could be one of their first signings in this window.
Antonsson has also been linked with a return to Sweden, but the player has insisted he’s not yet ready to return to his home country, preferring to build a career elsewhere.
The player has two years remaining on his Leeds United contract.
This is Massimo Cellino, so anything can happen until Antonsson is pictured holding the Brescia scarf.
