On Friday, Estadio Deportivo stated Real Betis could make an offer to buy Leeds United’s Diego Llorente in the summer window. The defender spent the last 18 months on loan at AS Roma, and they are looking to bring him back on another loan deal.
Later that day, Mucho Deporte reported the 30-year-old wants stability and could favour a permanent move to Betis instead of a loan return to Roma.
The Andalusian club invested €4.5m to sign Marc Roca from Leeds last week.
A fresh report from Estadio Deportivo claims Real Betis ‘don’t want to delay much longer’ to secure the centre-back’s services.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are looking to invest a similar fee to what they paid for Roca, while the Whites have initially requested €6m. The report states the two clubs could find an agreement for Llorente’s transfer for around €5m.
It’s claimed the former Real Sociedad man has agreed ‘contractual terms’ with Real Betis for a deal until 2028.
He’s now waiting for the Spanish club to find an agreement with Daniel Farke’s side, and sources have told Estadio that the agreement seems ‘imminent’, in a ‘matter of hours rather than days’.
Real Betis would like the Leeds defender to start pre-season with them from July 8th.
