AS Roma’s Edoardo Bove has ended up on Leeds United’s transfer agenda for the summer window, according to a report from Italy.

After being a regular under José Mourinho, the midfielder has been in and out of the starting lineup since Daniele De Rossi replaced the Portuguese tactician in January.

That hasn’t put off Leeds United as Il Tempo, relayed by Giallorossi.net, state the Whites want the 21-year-old.

Daniel Farke’s side have made it to the Championship playoffs where they’re against Norwich City. The first leg ended in a goalless draw and the return leg will take place at Elland Road on Thursday.

If Leeds were to secure promotion back to the Premier League, the possibility of them making an attempt for the Italy U21 international ‘could be more concrete’.

In December, Bove signed an new deal until 2028. He had hoped for more minutes and trust from De Rossi, but that hasn’t happened so far. Therefore, the report says the player ‘could think about’ leaving Roma.

Two months ago, we covered claims from Italy that West Ham United have also set their sights on Bove, but it’s not clear whether they will consider a move for him in the next window.

For Leeds United, getting Norwich City out of the way and pushing forward for promotion looks crucial on this one.
