Over the past few days, there have been a number of stories regarding Leeds United and an interest in soon-to-be free agent Lucas Vázquez.

The Real Madrid player is reportedly looking to find himself a new club in the summer, with a recent report claiming he was ready to ‘pack his bags’, giving Marcelo Bielsa’s side a much needed transfer boost.

It was said the ‘coming weeks’ would help get some clarity over the Spaniard’s next destination, and Cadena COPE, who have been all over this story, have a bit more information.

Relayed by Fichajes, they aren’t the bearer of good news for Leeds, who are likely to find themselves in a difficult battle with some European competition.

According to the Spanish radio station, Milan, led by Paolo Maldini on the transfer market, are after him, and the former defender is reportedly ‘more than convinced’ to bring him to San Siro.

Described as a ‘first level destination’, it remains to be seen if Vázquez would rather head to Italy over England to play with Marcelo Bielsa.

Either way, if Leeds fully invest themselves in this transfer going forward, they are going to face some clubs for the forward’s signing.
