Junior Firpo’s departure from Leeds United is now a given, with only a signature needed to seal a move back to Real Betis.
That’s according to El Desmarque and AS, who both report that the defender is one step away from joining the Spanish side.
The former report that Firpo will be Betis’ next signing of the summer and it is a done deal to sign him when he leaves Leeds on a free transfer at the end of this month. The deal is only pending a signature.
Betis’ sporting leadership have been plotting the defender’s arrival for week, and their speed has been key to getting the Leeds man ahead of other clubs.
Now they have finalised all the details to complete the left-back’s return to the club. He will sign a deal with the Spanish club until June 2028.
AS say similar, reporting that Betis are finalising an agreement to sign the Leeds defender on a free transfer at the end of the month.
Firpo has been a key player in Leeds’ return to the Premier League this season, but he is now eager to return to Spain after four years at Elland Road. Betis are happy to bring him back, especially on a free, and are now finalising the deal for him.
