On Monday, we carried a report from Relevo, who stated that Bayern Munich’s Marc Roca is set to sign for Leeds United this summer.
The Bavarian club bolstered their midfield by adding Ryan Gravenberch to their squad. They are looking to further strengthen it by taking RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer, according to Sky Deutschland.
With these additions, the Bundesliga winners will have to let go some midfielders. Roca is among them and Leeds United are in the picture to secure his services.
With Laimer’s potential arrival, the Spaniard should be on his way from the club. The 25-year-old sees no chance to feature regularly for Julian Nagelsmann’s side in the next campaign, and is therefore looking to change clubs.
Roca tops the Whites’ target list and would like to move to Elland Road. Jesse Marsch’s side already have an agreement in place with the player for a contract until 2026 and a significant salary rise. He currently earns €2.3-2.5m per year at the Allianz Arena.
The German champions paid €9m to Espanyol for the midfielder in 2020, and Sky state that Bayern want at least that amount to let go of him this summer.
With Leeds and Roca already reaching an agreement and Bayern willing to let him go this summer, a deal can be carried out if the two clubs can come to an agreement over the transfer fee.
