Leeds United have finalised a deal for VfL Wolfsburg defender Sebastiaan Bornauw, in a deal that will cost up to €6m.

That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reports that the 26-year-old’s move to Leeds can be considered ‘a done deal’.

The journalist explains that Leeds have completed their agreement with the German club, and that is considered done and sealed. The defender is now set to sign a contract at Elland Road until 2029, with the transfer set to cost up to €6m.

There is no mention of a medical at this point, but it appears there are no concerns on that front from either side and the deal is now close to being finalised.

Leeds have wasted no time in strengthening Daniel Farke’s squad this summer, with Jaka Bijol joining for €16m and Lukas Nmecha secured on a free transfer as well. Now Bornauw appears set to arrive as signing number three in what is likely to be a very busy summer at Elland Road.

Farke has been promised funds to strengthen his Championship winning squad and now another €6m appears to be set to wing its way to Wolfsburg for Bornauw.
