Sassuolo forward Hamed Traorè Junior has admitted he would love to play in the Premier League, which should come of interest to Leeds after they tried to sign him in the summer.
The 22-year-old originally joined Sassuolo on loan from Empoli in 2019 and made the move a permanent one in a €16m deal last summer.
He’s been a regular for the Serie A side since his arrival, making 101 appearances in all competitions and scoring 18 goals and registering eight assists.
Last season was one of his best to date as he managed seven goals and two assists in 31 games, a record that saw him linked with a move away.
Leeds were one of those said be eyeing up a move as part of their summer rebuild, with a report stating that they were the ‘most determined’ of those interested.
A deal never happened and Traorè is yet to get going this season following an injury in pre-season, but he has admitted he would like to play abroad one day, which should interest Leeds moving forwards.
“I don’t like talking about these things,” he told Gazzetta di Moena.
“In the future I see myself here, going to a more important team than Sassuolo only depends on how it goes here, and I am happy now and I only think about these colours.
“I wouldn’t mind (moving abroad), the most suitable leagues for me would be the Bundesliga or the Premier League.”
