Earlier on Thursday, we covered a claim from Radio Marca Valencia that explained Leeds United are looking to sign a U21 left-back in January.

It was also stated the Premier League club like the profile of Valencia’s Jesús Vázquez.

Apart from Leeds United, Inter Milan and AZ Alkmaar are in the picture to sign the 19-year-old.

Over in Italy, Gazzetta dello Sport detail the efforts put in by the Serie A side to bring the defender to the San Siro in the winter market. There has been a direct line between the Nerazzurri and Los Ches in recent days, and talks between the two clubs are continuous and satisfactory.

Vázquez is at the centre of discussion as he is on the Italian club’s January wish list. Their plan is to sign him on loan with an obligation to buy, and the La Liga side have ‘given the go-ahead’ for this.

The fullback’s arrival is subject to the sale of Robin Gosens in the next window. Vázquez replacing the German at the San Siro has a ‘high percentage of success’, also because of the green light given by the Spanish club for the loan move.

Vázquez makes an interesting target for Inter for various reasons. He earns €500,000 per year at Valencia and has ‘enormous room for improvement’.

Leeds are also in the mix for the player, who has made four league appearances this season.

Jesse Marsch’s side need to hurry up if they wish to get ahead of Inter to sign the defender.
