Paris Saint-Germain have come forward to sign Leeds United’s Diego Llorente in January.
The centre-back is currently on loan at AS Roma and at the weekend, Foot Mercato stated he’s pushing to leave the Serie A side. It was also reported Roma are are ready to let him leave as long as they can find a replacement first.
Corriere dello Sport provide the Giallorossi’s stance on the possibility of letting the Leeds man leave this month.
The Italian club, who have to strengthen their defence in January, are working on carrying out a few exits. The focus is on ending PSG midfielder Renato Sanches’ loan stay and the work is ongoing to send him to Beşiktaş.
It’s claimed the Ligue 1 winners have given the green light and only Sanches’ approval is needed to conclude the operation. His exit will allow Roma to save €2m, which can be used to try and sign Atlético Madrid’s Çağlar Söyüncü on loan.
The link with the Ligue 1 winners also leads to Llorente. The newspaper says the operation is ‘difficult to materialise’, more so if Roma fail to sign Söyüncü.
Over at Gazzetta dello Sport, they state Mourinho’s side could let Llorente go if they find a cheaper option.
