With the first half of the season done in Germany, with the Bundesliga on its traditional winter break, some outlets are looking at some of the summer deals and evaluating them, which is what Goal Germany have done.
They have produced a list of flops, and a Leeds United player has been added to that list, with his name being Brenden Aaronson.
Robin Koch has been a resounding success at Eintracht Frankfurt, so much so the move has since been made permanent, with an announcement that he would leave Elland Road on a free at the end of the season.
Aaronson doesn’t have that luck, however, as his return to German football hasn’t gone to plan at Union Berlin, where the Leeds loanee has struggled.
In fact, he has produced ‘very little’ since his arrival, and failed to find the back of the net in 20 appearances.
He only has five starts in the Bundesliga, with the latest coming at the weekend against Freiburg, which was his first in the league since a 2-0 loss to Werder Bremen at the end of… October.
Therefore, we can only assume that the United States international will be returning to Leeds at the end of the campaign, which probably isn’t what the Whites nor Aaronson had in mind when the move was approved in the summer.
