Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen should soon be available to play for AS Roma again.
The fullback had been struggling with muscle issues lately, and hasn’t entered the pitch since the 2nd of March, when he played against Monza.
Now according to Giallorossi.net, Kristensen is back to group training, resuming his activities just two days before the derby against Lazio.
Even though the schedule is tight, the outlet points out that the Leeds loanee could end up getting called up for that game.
Kristensen made 46 appearances for Roma since joining them on a loan in January 2023. For now, there’s no certainty about his future at the Italian side.
Reports from the local media this week claimed that the fullback, unlike Diego Llorente, is currently not expected to be purchased by Roma, since he hasn’t impressed enough so far.
With him now recovered, it seems there are a few weeks left for him to prove something, and a clock is already ticking somewhere.
Those could even be decisive for Leeds, as they will have a decision to make when it comes to what to do with him should the Giallorossi decide against sitting down for some permanent transfer negotiations.
