Leeds United defender Diego Llorente has arrived in Seville ahead of a medical with Real Betis as he nears a move to the Spanish side.
That’s according to El Chiringuito and journalist Gonzalo Tortosa, who report that Llorente will undergo a medical with Betis on Tuesday before signing for the club in a €3m deal.
A report earlier today indicated that Llorente was set to leave Leeds ‘very soon’ at they had practically finalised their deal with Real Betis for him.
Mundo Deportivo claiming that the two sides were pretty much finalised on the deal for the defender, and it was expected to go through poste-haste, with an offer of around €3m accepted by Leeds.
El Chiringuito pick up on that and say the defender has now arrived in Seville ahead of undergoing his medical for Betis.
That medical will take place on Tuesday and, once it is completed, he will wrap up his move from Leeds. The plan for Betis is to have him as part of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad for their pre-season trip to Austria so they are keen to wrap up the deal as soon as possible.
