Bono’s changed situation Sevilla has resulted in reports linking him to other clubs, including Leeds United.
The 32-year-old has lost his place in the starting lineup to Marko Dmitrović in the league, since manager José Luis Mendilibar arrived at the club last month.
Mundo Deportivo state the new manager’s decision has ‘not pleased’ the stopper, who is considering changing clubs so that he can become the first-choice keeper elsewhere next season. This is when Leeds are mentioned.
The Morocco international’s agent has ‘begun to move’ to find a new destination for his client, and has already received interest from Villarreal, Real Sociedad and Valencia.
From abroad, Leeds United and West Ham are the two clubs named.
The Whites currently have Illan Meslier as first-choice goalkeeper.
Bono was one of the standout players for Morocco at the World Cup. This, coupled with his displays for Sevilla, shouldn’t make it difficult for him to find a new club, if he’s firm with his desire to leave the Andalusian side.
Mundo don’t mention the price needed for Leeds or another club to take the player away from Sevilla.
