Leeds United are one of the clubs chasing AFC Bournemouth’s Jefferson Lerma, according to Relevo’s Matteo Moretto, relayed by AS in Colombia.
The midfielder has a deal expiring in June and the Cherries are keen to retain him beyond this season. At the same time, he has also received offers from other clubs.
Leeds are among the 28-year-old’s suitors and Moretto claims they are ‘very attentive’ to his situation.
Operating as a defensive midfielder and in the middle of the pitch, Lerma has scored five goals from 34 league games. He’s having a ‘great season’ with Bournemouth, which has seen him draw attention from other clubs, including the Whites.
When discussing his performances, AS state the Colombia international has ‘managed to stand out’ for the Premier League side. They then provide their own information on this case.
Lerma’s immediate focus is on Bournemouth’s remaining three matches of this season. They add ‘everything would be defined’ [about his future] in the next few weeks.
Leeds are one of the clubs chasing Lerma, although their interest will depend on Premier League survival.
