Considering the amount of players brought in last summer ahead of their return to the Premier League, not everyone was going to play.
Arriving from Malaga in January of this year for just over £7m, Nordin Amrabat, although playing most games, had to make do with a rotation role, mostly coming off the bench.
However, the Moroccan international played the full 90 minutes for Walter Mazzari’s first game in charge of the Premier League club, but there’s now talk he could be leaving.
According to Fichajes.com (sister website of France’s FootMercato and not to be confused with the far less reliable Fichajes.net), Granada in La Liga are interested in bringing the versatile forward back to Spain on loan.
While there is interest, the Spaniards know this could be a difficult operation, especially if the 29-year-old becomes a mainstay in his new Italian manager’s plans.
Having already revamped their squad with nine new players this season, Granada are seemingly trying to round it up nicely to ten with Amrabat’s arrival.
This is the first we’ve heard from it, so it’ll be interesting to see if this develops further over the next few days.
