As Kjetil Knutsen’s name is linked to the Leeds United job, we today get to see some comments about that scenario coming from the Norwegian media.
That mention is from Morten P’s column on Nettavisen. There, he compares the Bodo/Glimt manager to other candidates for the position.
It’s first pointed out that many coaches are ‘certainly queueing up’ to take charge of Leeds, and that definitely makes it more difficult for all those who want the job.
But there are said to be some qualities from Knutsen that the competitors don’t have.
The journalist claims the manager is a more relaxed man, who’s ‘known for not being distracted’ and only focusing on what really matters.
That’s also why the Bodo/Glimt boss will not be paying attention to any talk around his future.
In fact, the journalist says that only when someone, in this case Leeds, actually makes an offer for him will he sit down and ‘have to deal with it’.
Otherwise, he’ll just continue doing what he’s doing at his club.
The story also highlights the Whites for being a ‘big deal in English football’, calling them a ‘historically great football club’.
That may be a factor to attract Knutsen to the job, but it seems that connection would only ever happen in the Elland Road side actually make a move for him.
