Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola today explains an interesting story involving Chelsea and Corinthians youngster Wesley.
That all started on Tuesday evening, when the player went to Parque São Jorge to watch a U-20 game.
As SporTV showed Wesley in the stands, he was seen sit next to Alysson Marins, who is a Chelsea scout.
That was more than enough to create many rumours about what was going on, as that could mean that the Blues are in talks to take the 20-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
Nicola explains, however, that the situation has nothing to do with a Chelsea move. Marins used to work for Corinthians, and was the one who brought Wesley to the club in first place. They’re said to be friends, and that’s why they were sitting next to each other.
The journalist was guaranteed that there are no approaches from Chelsea for the signing, and when asking the Brazilian club, they also assured him that no offers arrived for the player so far.
Now if Marins had any conversation with Wesley about a potential move, we’ll probably never know, but it’s also worth recalling that Chelsea are said to be in talks for Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo.
