A month ago, we covered claims made by Calciomercato that Rafael Leão’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has ‘received a phone call’ from Manchester City for the AC Milan star.
It was also explained the Citizens manager, Pep Guardiola, has long been an admirer of the winger.
Italian journalist Fabio Santini now claims that ‘Manchester City want Leão’. He detailed this ‘sensational news’ about the Premier League winners to TV channel, 7 Gold, relayed by Area Napoli.
The journalist explained the Serie A side ‘have asked for seventy million euros’ and adds the parties will ‘try to find an agreement’.
Santini’s claims don’t make it clear whether Manchester City will try to lower the asking price or work on finding an agreement with Milan to sign the Portugal international for €70m.
Operating on the left wing, Leão has managed 12 goals and six assists from 36 matches in all competitions this season for Milan.
