Chelsea have had a rather uneventful January transfer window and that is not something the club has been used to in the past couple of years.

While there might be no big incoming at the Blues on deadline day, there could be a major outgoing.

Gazzetta dello Sport have reported today that the player in question is Joao Felix, and agent Jorge Mendes is ‘pressing’ for an exit from Stamford Bridge.

He has had a meeting with the Blues in London and will speak to the Chelsea management team later today, as the forward seeks an exit. He has flown into the capital today for further talks.

AC Milan are the only potential suitor for the 25-year-old but they do not want to pay a hefty loan fee. They also don’t want a permanent transfer but Chelsea are currently against a loan deal, especially one that lasts only six months.

Until yesterday, Enzo Maresca’s side had not opened up to the possibility of a free loan or a cheap loan deal.

It is stated that while the move will not be easy, Mendes is trying his best to make a deadline day transfer possible. He wants to satisfy the player’s demands and convince Chelsea.

Some work is yet to be done in this direction but Gazzetta that things can change rapidly, especially if the Blues end up signing an attacking player today.
