Following his sacking from Leeds United, Jesse Marsch has yet to find himself a new club, even though he has been considered a number of times by clubs.
The latest to mull over the potential hiring of the American manager were Club Brugge, who recently parted ways with Ronny Deila, as revealed by Het Laatste Nieuws.
It’s said that the Belgian side have asked Karel Geraerts to be their next manager despite him still being in a job at Schalke 04 and isn’t actively looking to leave, especially if they avoid relegation.
He is one of many options that have been explored, including the former Leeds manager, whose named was reviewed in the offices of the Jupiler Pro League club.
It’s pointed out that he has a very impressive resume, having worked at RB Salzburg, RB Leipzig and Leeds among others, but that was also his downfall.
That’s because Marsch ‘turned out to be too expensive’ for Club Brugge, who are now ‘further exploring the manager market’.
Therefore, the former Leeds manager will have to wait a bit more for his ideal next job, and may have to lower his demands if he is to get back in a dugout sooner rather than later.
