On Tuesday morning, we’ve seen Brazilian side Athletico Paranaense showing that Nottingham Forest fullback Renan Lodi is training at the club.
As the 24-year-old was left out of Brazil’s squad for the World Cup, he’s having some time off at his home country, and in order to stay in shape, he’s been using his former club’s facilities.
It turns out that Lodi’s wife is pregnant, and on Instagram, she recently claimed that both she and the Nottingham Forest player would be ‘ready’ to raise their child in Brazil.
That’s why Globo Esporte now features a story about the chances of the fullback’s move to Athletico Paranaense, claiming the player ‘doesn’t hide’ that he ‘feels at home’ at the club.
But since Lodi is loaned to Nottingham Forest by Atletico Madrid, a move to Brazil is now considered ‘very difficult’.
It’s said that due to the contract situation, a January move becomes ‘extremely complicated’, with more expectation for the summer window.
So the fullback is indeed expected to finish the season with Nottingham Forest, and only if the Tricky Trees want to buy him at the end of the season will the competition from Athletico Paranaense be relevant to them.
