Don’t be too shocked, but Manchester United have been linked with another young and talented Brazilian teenager.
After the Gabriel Jesuses and the Gabriel Barbosas, we are now being introduced to Leandrinho, a 17-year-old left winger who plays for Associação Atlética Ponte Preta in Brazil.
With only nine appearances for his club as of yet (mostly off the bench), the youngster hasn’t been able to show too much of his ability, but where clubs are most likely to have seen him in action will have been for Brazil’s U17s in 2015
The youngster walked away from the 2015 U17 Campeonato Sudamericano with the top goalscorer award, scoring eight of his team’s 18 goals as Brazil lifted the trophy for the 11th time.
Well, According to Corriere dello Sport in Italy, both Manchester United and Manchester City are after him, as well as Real Madrid and Napoli, seeing him as a clear talent for the future.
No fee is mentioned as of yet (we’re sure that won’t take too long to appear now that the interest is public), but the versatile youngster is clearly much sought after, and we wouldn’t be too surprised if this was followed up in the near future.
