Kevin Mbabu joined Newcastle United from Swiss outfit Servette in 2013 and was associated with the club until the summer of 2017.

The 23-year-old was allowed to go out on loan to Rangers in 2015, but struggled during his time in Scotland. In the summer transfer window of 2016, the defender joined Young Boys on a season-long loan deal.

Mbabu impressed for Young Boys and joined them on a permanent deal a year later. He has been a regular inclusion in their back four, making 44 appearances in all competitions. The right-back was a regular in the Swiss club’s title winning campaign.

His form has not gone unnoticed, and this is where Fulham come in.

Calcio Mercato now claim newly promoted Premier League side Fulham and Swiss Super League runners-up Basel ‘have their eyes’ on Mbabu.

The former Swiss Under-19 international has two years left on his contract with his current employer.  A move to Fulham would provide him an opportunity to return to English football and give it all another go.
