At the weekend, Feyenoord chief Dennis te Kloese revealed he rejected an opportunity to join Tottenham Hotspur.
The Dutch club are expected to receive the next attack from Spurs for their manager, Arne Slot, this week.
That’s according to De Telegraaf, who say Slot’s agent Rafaela Pimenta is ‘fully committed’ to taking her client to Tottenham. She’s set to hold talks with Te Kloese, who hasn’t yet had any formal contact from the north London club, in the next few days.
Pimenta will ask Te Kloese the conditions needed to take Slot away from Feyenoord. They are aware it’s difficult to keep a coach or a player who receives a lucrative offer from the Premier League.
Slot has a deal lasting until 2025 and the newspaper questions the fee Tottenham are willing to pay to buy out his contract.
Slot knows ‘things have been set in motion’, likely for his move to Tottenham.
De Telegraaf state ‘it has become clear to all parties involved’ that Slot ‘will leave’, if the negotiations between Tottenham and Feyenoord ‘go well’.
With Pimenta ‘fully committed’ to getting clarity from Te Kloese over her client’s future, there should be more updates on Slot’s after her meeting with the Feyenoord chief.
