Ipswich Town have done some good business this summer, one of their signings was bringing in Arijanet Muric from Burnley.
The Tractor Boys could now be making moves to sign another new goalkeeper.
FootMercato have reported that Rodez’s Morocco Under-18s goalkeeper Sofiane Karraoui is someone that Ipswich like.
They have ‘positioned’ themselves for the teenager and are ‘ready to go further’ in their pursuit of Karraoui, who is not even part of the Rodez first-team yet but plays for their Under-19s side.
Ipswich will have their work cut out in the hunt, as there is a big, albeit unnamed, Spanish club also interested and they’re thought to be leading the race.
AS Roma are also keen but their interest has emerged late and Kieran McKenna’s side are quite keen to make a concrete move.
Portuguese clubs were linked with Karraoui in the recent past but it doesn’t look like they’re in the picture right now.
