On Tuesday, El Chiringuito reported Valencia have rejected Liverpool’s initial bid for goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
There was no mention of the fee offered by the Red,s and Cadena Ser now provides more on this matter.
Liverpool have presented a long-term contract to the stopper, and he’ll have to accept a loan move for the first year. Los Ches have also received the ‘first official proposal’ of €30m including bonuses from the Merseyside club.
Valencia owner Peter Lim wants €35m plus bonuses. They are willing to lower the price if they can have the 23-year-old back on loan for a year, but Arne Slot’s side have rejected that idea.
Liverpool are only considering letting the Georgia international go out on loan to another Premier League side, if they secure his services.
This claim is relayed by Levante-EMV, who then provide their own take on this case. Slot’s side, who can fulfil the player’s aspirations, have already started receiving requests from Premier League sides to take him on loan.
The English club believe Mamardashvili can be their first-choice goalkeeper for the next decade, once Alisson Becker leaves. Liverpool are keen to sign him but have no intention to meet Lim’s request.
The report says the ‘two parties are condemned to reach an intermediate point’, meaning they are obliged to find an agreement between €30m and €35m.
Levante-EMV say Mamardashvili’s agent Levan Seturidze is in Valencia, likely to close the distance between the two clubs.
