On Friday, journalist Hernán Castillo reported Chelsea have shown interest in CA Talleres’ Ramón Sosa and made contact over a potential deal in the summer window.
This is backed up by TNT Sports, and journalist Pelota Parada has shared more updates on the Blues’ efforts to try to sign the 24-year-old.
The winger has starred for Talleres this year, scoring six goals and registering four assists from 16 games, and this has caught Chelsea’s attention.
According to Parada, Chelsea want him and have already asked about the conditions needed to secure the Argentine’s services.
Talleres president Andrés Fassi has revealed there’s an agreement in place with the player for a transfer, which is set to take place in the next window.
Chelsea haven’t made formal contact just yet to sign him, but TNT Sports insist Mauricio Pochettino’s side could hold talks in the ‘coming weeks’.
With Chelsea expected to make formal contact soon, there’s a deal to be completed for them. Fassi value the attacker at $20m.
As well as the west London club, Everton and Newcastle United are also in the picture to sign Sosa. Chelsea could take the lead, by taking necessary steps in the next few weeks.
