When Brazil manager Tite called up his squad for June’s friendlies, the inclusion of Fabinho made it sound like the midfielder shall be completely fit for those matches.
That seemed like good news for Liverpool, because after leaving the game against Aston Villa last weekend with an injury, his recovery time seemed to be uncertain.
So if he’s ready to play in early June, it seems reasonable that he’s also fit for the Champions League final against Real Madrid, which will be played on the 28th of May.
However, the latest reports from Brazil are not so confident about that. Today, Terra claims that even though Fabinho made it to the list, he may still be cut out.
The website writes that Fabinho’s situation ‘worries’ Tite and also becomes a ‘headache’ for Jurgen Klopp. So the Liverpool midfielder, as well as Leeds United’s Raphinha and Juventus’ Danilo, could still require some changes in the national team list.
The English press has been claiming that the Reds’ player is expected to miss the FA Cup final against Chelsea at the weekend, and in case Brazil replace him in the list, then it’ll be very unlikely he’ll be recovered for the Champions League final.
