Bayern Munich are keen to sign Harry Kane in the summer window and Thomas Tuchel is in constant contact with the Tottenham Hotspur star, according to SportBild.
Tuchel and former Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić made a trip to London in May to hold talks with Declan Rice and Kane. The discussions with the latter took place at his home.
It’s claimed the Tottenham striker was very impressed with the conversation he had with the manager and assured him that he’s keen to make a switch to the Bavarian club.
The England international hasn’t enjoyed silverware success with Spurs and winning the Champions League would be his ‘biggest dream, which is even more important to him that money’.
SportBild say Bayern are in contact with his brother, Charlie, and father, Pat, to discuss the details of the contract.
Having seen their €70m offer rejected by Tottenham, the Bundesliga winners are willing to make an improved offer to sign the 29-year-old. His deal expires in 2024 and it’s stated Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants at least €100m to sanction the move.
The report adds the frontman had a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ with Levy to let him to join a non-London club after the Spurs supremo blocked a move to Chelsea in 2021. Bayern could take advantage of this to find an agreement with Tottenham.
Should Levy still block his transfer, SportBild state Kane is ready to push for an exit and also threaten to leave the club for free in 2024.
