VfB Stuttgart defender Borna Sosa has backed Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic to bounce back from his cruciate ligament rupture.
Kalajdzic only joined Wolves in a £16.2m deal from the German side on deadline day of the summer transfer window following months of speculation about his future.
He had established himself as a star for the Bundesliga club and is highly rated, despite injuries limiting his appearances last season.
It meant there was plenty of excitement at Wolves about his arrival but that was cut short quickly when it was announced he had suffered a cruciate injury during his debut in the 1-0 win over Southampton earlier this month.
That injury will see him miss most of the season after undergoing surgery to fix the problem, with Wolves forced to bring in Diego Costa as emergency cover.
Everyone at Molineux will be hoping his recovery is as swift as possible and he can bounce back; something former teammate Sosa is sure he can do.
“Of course, I miss him. We often talk to each other, not only about football,” he told Kicker.
“(The injury is) a pity, but that’s just the way it is. There’s nothing you can do about it. I’m sure he’ll be back soon. He is a positive boy.”
