Last summer, Tottenham planned for the future in impressive fashion when they decided to sign Destiny Udogie from Udinese.
The young left-back is widely seen as a great talent, but with little chance of being a starter this season, he was sent back to the Serie A club to get game time.
This, however, was when Fabio Paratici wasn’t banned from doing his job and Antonio Conte was the manager in charge, but these recent developments haven’t changed Udogie’s or Tottenham’s plans, as explained by the defender’s agent to TuttoMercatoWeb.
Speaking to the Italian outlet, Stefano Antonelli clarified the situation around his client, who was recently in the headlines for an off the field incident involving the player crashing his car into the outside of a bar.
“The Tottenham project does not change. Udogie was bought with everyone’s approval and many other professionals have called him important for the club.”
As for the possibility of the young player going back out on loan next season, Antonelli was very blunt, simply saying: “I’m ruling it out now.”
The 20-year-old has made 26 appearances in all competitions this season with Udinese, scoring three goals and assisting another three.
