For those Wolverhampton Wanderers fans who may have chosen to forget what happened late on in the summer transfer window, let us remind you that there was an attempt to sign Boulaye Dia from Salernitana.
The Senegal international wanted to move to the Premier League, but the Serie A side were upset about how late the offer came in and its formula of a paid loan with an option to buy.
A lot has happened since, and Wolves will get a new chance to get their man in January, as Calciomercato.it journalist Eleonora Trotta brings some news.
This comes after Salernitana’s president made an announcement suggesting that any player who wants to leave will be allowed to do so.
We all know that Boulaye Dia will be one of those, and Trotta explains that Danilo Iervolino meant what he said, and ‘all the Salernitana players are for sale in January’.
That’s great news for Wolves, who will have a chance to get Dia and they already know how much they will have to spend, as there is a clause in his contract allowing him to be sold for €21m to a Premier League side.
He then continued: “If they have no joy, they know that this risks being the grave of many players. I will have a hard time with many of them. In January, I’ll send away those who don’t want to stay. From now on, we’ll only take people who want to stay at Salerno.”
#Iervolino ha detto la verità. A gennaio tutti i giocatori della #Salernitana sono in vendita #calciomercato
